Stokes Aster

"Stokes Aster"

“Stokes’ Aster”  is a native American wildflower found from South Carolina to northern Florida and Louisiana.  It grows in wetlands, pine flatwoods and savannas.  A perennial, it blooms in late spring.  This photograph was made last June.
